ESP LTD F-50

For some reason, I fell in love with this body style immediately.

I'm not goth by any means, but this body BECKONED me! ;D

I paid $200 for it on eBay new, and it plays very well for this price.

This guitar sells new for $259 at Musiciansfriend, and now they
offer a Floyd version for $10 more! Oh well...

Well, say goodbye to my beloved F-50, as it just became my donor for my Aluminum project.

The neck is solid, 24 frets, black hardware, fixed bridge. Perfect.

I just didn't want to use it because it plays so well, but hey, for the cause...

Plus I'm broke and can't afford to buy a donor. ;D

So for the practice guitar are you going to make it out of aluminum, too? I was wondering if you might do a wood body for practice or something.

I'm not sure I understand the question, your Highness. ;D LOL

I practice with my Purple HM, since I locked the Kahler, so I can tune up or down to different songs.

The LTD has been sitting, and it's got a good neck on it, and it was cheap, so done deal.

This first aluminum guitar (hopefully I can do another) will be a hybrid.

HM body shape, with LTD F-50 neck and Tune O Matic, just to keep things simple.

I finished modeling the neck pocket tonight and I'll machine a test tomorrow after work. I'll post pics in my Aluminum thread.

Nah, I ran small test pieces of the critical parts, so I wouldn't hose a good project piece. ;D
