Do all have TBX?

I'm looking at one to purchase right now, HSS with 3 knobs and small switch.

Is it safe to assume that the tone controls are TBX controls? The seller says he doesn't know.

and - are the elites quite scarce?

One more question - are maple necks that much harder to find?

Wondering if I should be patient (tough with GAS) as I prefer maple on my other strats.

Maple necks are fairly rare. Most have TBX's. He can tell if there is a "notch" position in the middle of the rotation of the knob. Good luck!
