I sanded a bit tonight, but I don't have fine enough paper to go over the main body. I knocked down the contours though, as the "Ball Nosed End Mill" left some substantial grooves, and that worked nicely.
I'll get some 600 (as suggested by our polishing pro) and finish it up.
Any thoughts on a protective coating?
I have the option to get it "Electroless Nickel Plated". It's the shiniest plating we get on our parts. It's not as shiny as the body will be by polish alone, but I fear I won't be able to keep up the sheen without a coating...
A good friend of mine had a Brittany Spaniel years and years ago. "Blue" was a great dog. We would come home drunk and watch TV and Blue would always lay on the floor with us and let me use her as a head rest without complaining or moving.
