Why not just pick up the kahler lock?
I got one off of ebay recently for $30, including the tremelo arm. I was still sealed and everything.
It works pretty well. The bridge really stays locked nicely. You have to push on the bridge hard to even hear it slightly move, like neck bending hard.
It's just 4 tiny screw holes that are used to hold it in place. Since it's in tremelo cavity, it's not like you're ruining the guitar anyway.
