serial # E979811 says made in Korea.
recessed Floyd rose II. flat radius.
rare?
the squier logo is big and in cursive
It has the HM strat heel.

Hi, came across you whilst checking history and serial numbers of Fender tele's. I have an unmarked and immaculate HM - 2100 in white (now more cream!) with rosewood neck. Saying that there is some discolourations to the front edge of the neck heal plate which shows it has been played, otherwise you would think it has been left in its case for 20 years or so. The pickups are H/S/S. It came with all original warranties, tags etc. The serial number is F000114 and from the following link it was made at the Fuji-gen Plant, Japan in 1986 - 1987. www.guitardaterproject.org/fender.aspx (you must click one of the check boxes where it asks you the country of manufacture otherwise no information will come up - if you get nothing try another country, I was surprised to find people on eBay claiming their guitar was from the USA when in fact it was manufactured in Japan.) I have the original booklet (not a photocopy) and also the Kahler adjustment and set up guide for the 2720 Spyder which I will scan in and post (I have never posted anything before - so I will have to find out how to first!) maybe of some use to someone. When I get my camera back I will take some photos and post them also. Happy Days :D |

Here's the info on mine. 1989 E851375 Teal H/S/S Rosewood Kahler Spyder Owner: Mike P The guitar is now refinished Black. Bridge pickup is a Dimarzio D activator and the neck pickup is an OBL. Just curious, is there a reason why no one else is posting Pics?  |

Thanks for everyone's patience. The second serial number database accidentally got erased and I had to recreate from scratch before I could do the updates.
I like the idea of posting pics of your guitars when you post your serial number information. Thanks for bringing that up, Mike!
Everybody please feel encouraged to post pics in this thread.

Nice! What are the stock single coils like on those, anyway? I had mine rewired and never really checked them out first.

Hello everybody
I'm Alex from Holland, just came across this forum after looking around the internet for Fender HM Strats. Never knew there were so many people with a HM Strat!!!! I got mine about ten years ago from a guitarshop in Apeldoorn, The Netherlands. Haven't touched it in a couple of months, after moving to a new house, but am planning on starting to use it more often.
I'm not very good in English words, so I'll stick to what I know about my HM Strat:
Colour: black
Serialnr: E859640
Tremolo: Floyd Rose
Pick-up: HSS
Haven't got any pictures yet, will be coming soon. Can anyone tell me from what year my Strat is, and also: is it MIJ of MIA?
