I agree Bo, I just can't see how it could wear that uniformly naturally. Pink too; what a shame

I agree it looks like a sanding job, Bo. If I was a cynical man I might say someone started a project, decided not to finish it and made up a story about it wearing off naturally after "1000's of gigs." An unfinished neck + moisture can result in warping. Still looks like a cool guitar, though. I'd definitely ask for a guarantee that the neck is straight, and I wouldn't pay top dollar.

That guitars been on Ebay before, maybe two years back. I recognise the paint job and description 0f "1000s of gigs....." Bit of a blast from the past.
I do agree that it has been artificially reliced to death. When it first sold/was listed I thought someone might try and fix it up, but obviously not.

Yeah he's an idiot listing that as real wear.

Hahaha. That's right, Gary. Part of me wishes I had just kept that Crispy-Caster charred and put a glossy finish on it!

I think there are a few things wrong with that auction.
1. First and foremost, the decimal is in the wrong place. It needs to slide to the left a couple of places.
2. Second of all, the phrase "paint worn off" should be replaced with "paint sanded off with a belt sander" or "it has been through 1000s of gigs with a belt sander".
3. Then he should have the Supertramp song "Dreamer" playing as you review the auction. "Dreamer...Your nothing but a dreamer...Now ya put your hands on your head, oh know".

Hahaha. I was cracking up reading your comments, guys!
Here's how I think it should be edited (I've put my comments in pink to match the former finish of the guitar):
I told myself that I would never sell this one of a kind strat that has seen thousands of shows (and that I would never contact Lindsey Lohan again after that court order), but I'm going to put it up and see what happens. This is a steal ( for me!) for a guitar that plays and sounds as good as this one. Think of this Stratocaster (or "Strat" as Ed Roman and I like to call them) as a hot rodded version of Stevie Ray Vaughan's number one strat (or "Stratocaster" as Ed Roman and I like to call them). The finish has been worn off from being played (just like you're being played right now) at literally thousands of shows across the country, and it looks too cool (to retarded children who don't know any better). You'll never find another HM Strat like this one! (And that's probably a good thing.) It has a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge, and what I believe (but for which I have no proof at all and am too lazy to check) are 2 Dimarzio Chopper mini humbuckers in the neck and middle. It also features a tremelo-no unit which makes stringing it up a breeze! (Some people say the treml-no unit is pointless since the Kahlers only move one way anyway, but Ed Roman and I think it's cool!) You can make it so it's a dive only, floating, or hardtail bridge with a twist of a screw! (And with the twist of an allen wrench it suddenly becomes Omega Prime from the Transformers!)
P.S. I took the finish off that HM with a small propane torch, SNH.

Rofl! Nice addition to the info on that auction!
What means "Kahlers only move one way anyway"?
Can you not lift your Spyder?
