well i hope its more "epic" than the Spyder, which does not have individual string height adjust; you cannot adjust trem arm friction without removing bridge from body; and the strings directly obstruct the intonation adjust screws, which incidentally to adjust you must: visually memorize the position, detune the string completely, then loosen the screw, at which point the saddle pops way the heck away from its former position; then crudely move the saddle by hand to where you imagine a better intonation point might be in relation to where your memory thinks it was before you loosened the screw, then tighten the string, and repeat several dozen times per string till your intonation seems passable....... ;D

Also if by trem arm friction you mean tightness of the trem arm. Theres a screw on the side of bridge for setting that.

no can do; mine's an earlier Spyder, sans saddle height screws. and yes, i <i>can</i> adjust trem arm tightness, but only if i remove the bridge from the body- the body route depth recesses the trem allen screw when the bridge is mounted. i like to bitch a lot, sorry. but my lo-tech/no-tech two-post '87 strat trem works great, and it is a breeze to adjust in every way...probably why they still make 'em, and the Floyd-Kahler thing lasted 10 years max

i ended up "winning" the Kahler Steeler. comes with some kind of cheap(laminate) strat body too. i happen to have a mexico neck i re radiused and need to refret. this project will likely collect dust till winter...............i'm glad i didn't bid on the HM strat neck because i realize now i would not be able to find a neck plate unless i paid big bux! anyone know if the Spyder and Steeler are interchangeable on an HM Strat as far as routing and such?
