Hello everyone. I feel so lucky to have stumbled onto this site! I have a single humbucker Strat that I purchased new in 1989. I would like to find a wiring diagram in order to verify the OEM component values, as mine were changed long ago. There is one volume pot, one dual-ganged tone pot, and one switch, for for the pickup tap to ground. It's the passive tone components that were altered long ago, and I would like to put it back to the original values. Thanks, Ron

Hi Ron, welcome to the forum! There is an HSS wiring diagram at the tech shop page which you can refer to, although yours is the single hum version I'm pretty sure the resistor and pot values are the same? The dual ganged tone pot sounds correct as the original should be a TBX which is 250k up to halfway and 1 Meg from 5 to 10, and the coil tap is standard too. I'll put up some pics of the circuit on my single hum HM as soon as I get a second. This is standard except for it has a Bare Knuckles pup installed so the colour coding is slightly different, but may help if you can't find a diagram

Thanks! Actually my pickup color-coding does match the diagram you referred to, but I just wasn't sure about the rest. I must also report that I'm an electronics technician by trade, and admit that I had [years ago] disconnected the tap/switch arrangement; I think maybe I did not want to be accidentally hitting it while performing live. And because I really don't have clear memories of doing it, I also am not sure if I altered anything else. I had not been able to get any response directly from Fender in the past, and was literally "shocked" when I discovered this site. And all the great technical information here... Wow! I have needed to replace a "string-lock" bolt, and through this site, was able to make contact with Wammi-World. Again, Fender had not been any assistance in the past. All in all, I have loved this guitar all these years, and play it for most all of my "classic rock" covers. I originally bought it new, to record an album, as my [bought new 1973] Les Paul Custom does not have a "Whammi" bar. Again, thanks for your assistance.
