I'm rehabiing my HM and I wondered if the Kahler trems are can only be depressed or of mine was previously modified to prevent this. Does the stock setup allow for bends in both direction?

You set the tension right on the springs in the back it'll float and give you up and down movement. You won't get the up range of an Ibanez because there's no scallop behind the trem.

That's what I thought. At first I was worried that the cavity route had been blocked, but guess the bridge may just be sitting too low / not tense enough!

With the Spyder trem, when it is set correctly, the tremelo block looks like it is leaning forwards, by about 10 degrees!
