Well, I swore I wouldn't take on anymore projects, but I couldn't pass this one up.
This guy was selling an HM Body and Neck on Seymour Duncan's Forum for $75. Years ago, he had filled in the trem route to make a hardtail, but never followed thru with it. I will have to have someone reroute it (for a Floyd this time, I think) but it's still an awesome deal because the neck is in really good shape for 20 years old. The frets could use a light crowning, but I can do that myself. I think I'll pick up a JB pickup for this bad girl!
Scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. Click for larger photos.

You cannot resist the allure of the almighty HM!! Looks to be in pretty good shape. I'd love to hear you plans for it. Will you rerout? Or hardtail? Refin it all etc?? What a good price you got it for too!

I think it was filled with sawdust and glue 20 years ago. I'm thinking I would have it routed for one of the new lower-priced Gotohs and then fit an oversized brass block onto that. Rick has been talking about painting a guitar for me and I'm thinking of possibly doing this one in a Bengal Tiger, but reverse of the one he just finished - Orange with yellow highlights and black stripes. The pisser is I think this guy filled in the back cavity, too! store.guitarfetish.com/nehedudulofl.html
