Hello all, just found this site googling for the wiring diagram for the HM for a cleanup I am doing on one of mine...

Great to see so many people who love these guitars... My first real guitar was a razzberry HM that I bought brand new in late 1998. Picked up a second about 4 years later... It was used ... sold it to a band mate for $125 about 12 years ago... haven't seen him much in a decade... but played poker with him back in September, and guess what.... he gave it back to me as a gift... funny, I had "engraved" my name on the back of the wiring cover (in the silver)... still there...

I currently have that one apart as it has sat for a long time without a good cleaning, etc...

Will posts pictures soon... and will add my serial #'s to the database...

Didn't ask my question.... I am surprised by the resale / auction values that these guitars are fetching... sometimes 500-550 USD... are others seeing them in shops for less?

Welcome to the forum, Patrick. I just called Fender a couple weeks ago and luckily got that diagram, so your timing is excellent. To my knowledge, no one had been able to find that for the longest time and (I believe) it was thought to be lost forever.

I got my main HM used at Guitar Center - marked $450, the salesman that I knew got it down to $400, and I used a "spend $300 and get $50 off" coupon to get it down to $350.

I would say $400 - $450 is average, and only the really nice ones go for $500 or even $600 if it's one of those "mint, you'll never find another one in this condition" HM's.

Yup, Ebay prices average about $500...and have done for the past two yrs approx. Personally I like to think I accidentaly started an inflation by paying about $500 for a very battered HM in Feb 08...but I doubt it!

I would also love to see the engraving job you mention.

PS I have to add I have never seen one hanging in a shop where I live. I know guitar centre has a few on their used books.
