Haha, that seller is a nut. I can't claim to have been watching for 10 years like you have, but I've seen his auctions for maybe 5 years. He has similar ridiculous prices on Vandenbergs and other guitars as well. All at least twice the going rate.
Funny Story - I am actually banned from buying from this guy. I have a 100% feedback rating on eBay, but I bought some slotted head Floyd Rose locking nut screws from him one time at a pretty fricking high price. They're cool, but for like $10 plus $7 shipping for the three little screws...
So my feedback, was "Kind of high-priced, but a quality product..." something like that. So I went to order another set and my transaction was denied. I emailed him and he informed me he would not sell to me because "you left stupid feedback!!"
One of my guitar friends at work still teases me about "Klaus" from Germany and my "stupid feedback!!" haha.

This guy is a nut, I'm real curious what he's paid in eBay fees in the past 10 years. As Napolean Dynamite might say, "Idiot! Gosh!". Hey pal, get the hint. Go check the blue book value on HMs. They don't sell for $1,000.00. Not even if they are new old stock never been played. Maybe you could get those prices for an HM Ultra NOS. Hey at least he has sticktuitiveness.
Oh I've done my share of overpaying on eBay because I was either caught up in the competition or just felt this was my only chance to purchase the item. The Blue Burst HM Ultra would be a prime example of that.

I have watched this guy also and I always wondered why he was so high, but the "stupid feedback" explains everything - RITFL

Wow, didn't realise it had been 10 years! I checked some of his feedback one time, thinking no one would ever buy his guitars, but if you look, people do actually buy 'em for the high prices he sells at.
The other "it'll never sell!" guitar there is the Charvel "Coralcaster" Just terrible.

You will all buy my guitars at the prices I set for them. If you do not, I will crush you and bask in the sound of the lamentations of your women!

P.S. No stoopid feedback or I will ask Krom to eat your children!

There's aslo a guy like him but with Kramers. He apparently bought a batch of the last Kramer Strikers that were made awhile back - a new version is coming out this year. They're very cool guitars, and were selling for only $230 direct from Gibson with no middle man. So now he's had them up on eBay for maybe a year at $389. Once in awhile I track them, and none ever sell - but he keeps renewing the listing. Now I see he has started parting them out and selling the pieces - the necks are going for $125 and up at times. He showed up on the Kramer Forum, made a bunch of claims about exclusive deals and got run off quickly as a scammer and con artist.cgi.ebay.com/Kramer-Striker-FR-422-SM-Electric-Guitar-Red-NEW_W0QQitemZ380168855517QQcmdZViewItemQQptZGuitar?hash=item5883d45fdd

Shoot I bought a maple HM neck a couple of years ago for $125.00 on eBay. To me it's a much better quality neck than the Kramers.

No argument there - HM's are top shelf! But the Kramers do have a nice profile of their own. Very comfortable playing necks.
P.S. IMO, you got a great deal on that HM neck. I once saw one go for $195 on eBay.
