Do you mean the thumbscrews on the Kahler? I am happy to report mine are all still very black, but the product you link to looks ideal.

Yes, the Kahler thumbscrews (micro-tuners?) and the numbering on the knobs show the only significant wear on my HM.

I used Rustoleum Black spray paint on mine and that's already coming off and the guitar isn't even up and running yet!
