Interesting how Fender tried a number of times to get in the shred market before finally giving up and buying Jackson/Charvel.
I'd love to have one of those Fender Showmasters even though they're not exactly like an HM. As you probably know, the necks on those are more like a traditional Stratocaster neck with 24 frets, 12.5" radius and a C-profile shape. The Squier Showmaster I have is an awesome player though, out of all proportion to how much they cost.

Jim posted about that guitar when the site first started. I have wanted one badly since then. But $600 + $200 shipping is a lot of mollah! Will just have to wait and see if once pops up here cheaply. (yeah right...!)

Interesting. I've never heard of the "Showmaster' line. Are they true USA guitars? I'm intrigued, I'm going to research these a bit.  |
