Nice! Can you post one with a Floyd on it for those of us who won't consider anything else? I love the bare Mahogany finish, though!

Strange, but the Robin site doesnt show a single axe with a Floyd! Xbolt over at the Kramer forum has like 10 or 12 of the vintage Robin's, all with Floyd's. I get a pic and post it here.

Hi, Has anybody checked out the Floyd Rose Discovery series? This Model 4 is pure shredder with a single humbucker and a Floyd.
It's made in china, and seems like a good deal for $349 (that includes the Original Floyd, not a copy.)

damn.....comes with OFR for that price? And why in the hell do they still do that extended trem route on the non speed loader equipped ones I wonder? I am thinking they make one style body for both style trems maybe? Either way its a good looking guitar, never played one though.

I agree the extended trem route looks a little out of place on this one.
BTW, I think this is basically the same model body you got from my boss, without the pickguard and with a single humbucker. I kinda liked the neck on his. I have to think this would be a great guitar for the money.

Not sure, I think the horns on this one of you bosses are shaped a little different. I have thought about sanding that body to bare wood and seeing what the grain looks like and maybe do a natural oil finish. Not a big fan of blue guitars. But on the other hand I kinda hate to ruin a pretty minty paint job too. And what scale should that one be again?

It's a standard 25.5" scale, Halo. So you want it to measure exactly 25" from the locking nut (the back edge closest to the bridge) to the center of the bridge post.

I checked out a Squier the other day, one of their new series, the Classic Vibe I think it was, one of the 57 reissue type ones. Man, that was a cute guitar. The sunburst on it was beautiful. The guitars coming out of China right now are damn good quality. I'm a big Eric Johnson fan. With better pickups that little guitar could do well. The headstock had a touch of birdseye too. I have way too many guitars so I had to leave it, but it was super nice.

China is the new Mexico! hehe.
That does look nice. I'd be tempted to try a set of the Boutique Alnico Overwounds from GuitarFetish for $60 and drop 'em into it.

Odd thing: the bassist from my band emailed me saying he bought a new guitar and was really happy, he described it...and then I knew it was the same one...! This also happened with a Tokai SG he bought, I tried it then maybe a week later without me saying anything about it, he bought it! He traded that Tokai to buy it. Really odd!

Okay 2 rare Charvel's are today's guitar of the day. Never heard of this model until snooping around for rare guitars lastnight at work. This one is $3000US. Its a Ritz, supposedly Wayne Charvel was involved with these and only 150 were ever made. This is in the exotic series. No idea what model this is. Supposedly its a proto with no stamped neck plate with serial # hand written in neck pocket. This one if for sale right now for $7000.

Dude....you know how rare those are? That model you pictured, I forget now the line, but they had like seashell's cracked and applied in the finish or something right?
So what's the story with it? You sell it?
