Hi New to his forum - Some pictures of my three HM Strats along with some notes. Apologies for the cleanliness of these guitars. They are all immaculate with no dings, but do get played on a daily basis, hence the fingerprints. The guitars are all played though a 1978 Marshall Master Volume Combi with MXR Wylde Overdrive. Oh yeah. ;D The first posted is the oldest. Serial No. E842286. Sound of this guitar not as powerful as the other two and I would use it for Blackmore style. Second guitar is Serial No. E849061. Sound is glorious and akin to late seventies Gibson. Used for Schenker/UFO style Etc. Third guitar is Serial No. K025526. All three guitars sound remarkably different, this one being more akin to Number of the Beast Maiden era. This has the Floyd Rose trem. No doubt visit again soon. Cheers Jez

Very nice, Jez! I love the look of the black with the maple fretboard!
I don't think any of us have seen too many of the later versions with the digital logo and the floyd. Can you tell us of any differences between that one and the others? Same neck profile? Different frets? Anything like that is much appreciated!
I added the info you gave me to the Serial Number Database. If you could take a second to go to that thread and post the years of your guitars that would be way cool.
Thanks for showing us your HM's. I, for one, am jealous!

Welcome, Jez.
I really love how you have described each guitar as having a different voice. I have three HMs, one maple neck. I find the maple one to be a favourite player. I wore the frets down very rapidly on it through major use.
One of my other HMs has bee plekked, and it really made a difference in playing terms.
I totally understand what you mean though about different sounds. Isn't it odd how they can be "the same model" but so different.
I was very intrigued that you said one sounded like UFO/late 70s Gibson.
LAstly, I'd echo what Jim/heem6 says. I've nt tried the Ultras, ro the slightly different late 90s digital logo HMs. I'd like to know too what Jim asked, whether the digital logo HMs are anyway different?
I have noticed tiny differences in the years of the HMs, or perhaps it is just a difference between the maple and rosewood. The maple neck one I have, the neck seems a mite thicket than the rosewood, with a slightly different contour too.
By the way, are all yours completely stock, with no mods or alterations?
