my new hm body should be here soon, It will be my 5th HM when its done, Im not sure if I should repaint it or leave it as is a 20 some year old guitar with its scratches and finish cracks what do you guys think?

Unless it's completely trashed, I would leave it.
It adds character, IMO.

yep that's the one not to bad huh? I would never have ripped it apart like that, but I guess it worked out for me. I wonder what it would take to sand off all that thick thick paint

I was thinking about a maple neck, I was also thinking about putting a dimarzio blues bucker in it with true blue singles

so I figured well I work at a body shop and I can paint it for next to nothing and I just got my 3rd hm done and it looks killer so I may as well paint it. So I mixed up some black paint and pored in a crap tone of blue pearl and then started sanding
