Yep, seen them before. I know a few guys over at the Kramer forum that have them. The U2 model is pretty rare. That'd be a guitar I'd like to have in my herd for sure.

Whoa, that's pretty sweet.
Am I just spoiled on the Fender headstock?
Seems like nowadays I don't like any other, except for 3x3's. ;D

Gibson even left off the 24th fret inlays, just like the HM's! It looks really cool except for the set neck. Yuck!

Oh yeah, I never noticed that. I'm not a fan of set necks either. I like the idea of being able to change a neck easily if you get a problem with it. Set necks don't seem as 'heavy metal' to me either, though I don't why I think this, just a quirk of mine.

Right! I had that happen on the second guitar I ever assembled. I bought an inexpensive neck, not knowing any better. The truss rod failed after a short time. It was a nice guitar with good tone and I wanted to keep it, so I found a real nice AllParts neck on eBay. Screwed it right on and it turned out great. If it was a set neck, I'd have had to have scrapped the whole guitar.
Also, I like tung oiled necks - set necks are usually painted or at least glossy. Blecch! Also, if the neck warps - you're just out of luck!
