Just found this HM for sale at store about 25 miles from me. It doesn't say if there's a case, so safe to assume it doesn't have one. It's priced at £350 gbp and looks to be in good nick. Hope to go and have a look tomorrow. My second favourite colour too! ;D

Funny because I was about to make a similar thread. There is one at my local Sam Ash. $400 Great shape White that turned cream. Maple neck a little worn. All original great condition.

That sounds like a great price! The one I've seen is sonic blue, I'll try and post a pic or a link to the stores site..... bear with me, I'm a real technophobe lol!

Looks like a Floyd on the wrong body in fact.
It's routed for a Spyder, and only the later ones, with the Digital logo had Floyd's, if I've paid attention to lbeast's lessons. ;D

Well spotted guys, I'd never have noticed. I'll probably go and have a look anyway and see how it plays. I guess having a non original trem will de-value it so I'll see what I can do!

It's in Johnny Roadhouse in Manchester Nick. I've just got back from having a look at it. It has a licensed Floyd fitted and this seems to be causing some issues with the action and intonation. It could do with a re-fret and there is a crack about 5'' long from the trem cavity towards the back of the guitar, may just be the paint though. It may just need a good set-up but I didn't want to take the risk, I didn't even try to knock them down any, just walked away. As much as I want one of these fine guitars I don't want to buy a pup!

The string retainer was the first giveaway that the tremolo & locking nut were not stock for this model year, as the original Kahler locking nut has no separate string retainer, just the one incorporated into it. It is probably an '88-'89 HM.
Stratznhatz, you could always buy it and replace the missing Spyder & locking nut with another from eBay or www.wammiworld.com, as Jim did on his refurbished white HM.

Thanks for the info Ibeast, I'll have a think about it and price up the cost of putting everything right and see if they'll adjust the price tag. Wammi world looks like a cool site btw, thanks for the link.

Oh well, thanks for yet another lesson in HM Strat 101. ;D
This, is why I love this place.

Haha! I see what you mean.
The HM's and RG's are really sister guitars, though, having been born and originally produced in the same factory in Japan.
