It's a dark day for Metal. RIP, Ronnie.

"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. I'm very thankful I was able to see DIO 2 times with Heaven and Hell in recent years.
I dig "Bible Black" off their last CD and it was so effing cool to see them do it live!

My co-worker e-mailed me about this morning. I was in disbelief. Googled RJD and found it was true.

That freakin' sucks.

Very sad to hear this! I was a huge Dio fan back in the 80's and 90's. One of the best concerts I ever went to was Dio/Megadeth at the Omni in Atlanta for the Dream Evil tour.
