It's a dark day for Metal. RIP, Ronnie.
"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever." Love, Wendy

I'm very thankful I was able to see DIO 2 times with Heaven and Hell in recent years. I dig "Bible Black" off their last CD and it was so effing cool to see them do it live!

My co-worker e-mailed me about this morning. I was in disbelief. Googled RJD and found it was true.
That freakin' sucks.
Some people think Jesus is the answer. Cancer is the answer. It's coming for us all.
Long live rock & roll Long live rock & roll!

Very sad to hear this! I was a huge Dio fan back in the 80's and 90's. One of the best concerts I ever went to was Dio/Megadeth at the Omni in Atlanta for the Dream Evil tour.
