I have been wanting one of these for awhile now. A friend of mine inherited one, and after doing research and playing it, I fell in love with his. Peavey T-40, the first bass to ever be manufactured with a CNC machine. Solid Ash body, dual humbucking pickups, 3-way selector and phase selector switch, and I believe the pickups turn to single coil mode depending on how you adjust the volume. In the direct sunlight, it's more of an orange sunburst, and in the shade more of a tobacco sunburst. Made in the USA, baby!

Wow heem, looks like a minter! It looks very '70s, how old is it?

Close, MrFist! By the serial number it is a 1981. It's not mint, but from first glance, a few feet away, you might think it's new.
I've always had great respect for Peaveys. They don't always make the configurations I'd like, but I respect the quality for sure.

That's a beautiful guitar.
Too bad most of that gorgeous finish is being hidden by that pickguard. ;D
Seriously though, absolutely amazing guitar...
