Hi all, I just wanted to introduce myself on these forums. I am a proud owner of a 1988(i think) Fender HM Strat MIJ HOWEVER I don't know much about this guitar being i bought it off of craigslist for $450 I know that it didn't come with the stock pickup because it came with a seymour duncan SH-14 non F-spaced...good pickup, not for this guitar tho lol This guitar has the Kahler Spyder bridge, and different volume/tone knobs as well This is a photo from when I first got it a few months ago. Right now, I am putting in a DiMarzio D-sonic (F) in the bridge position In case its hard to see in the photo, the paintjob is black with gold flakes in it. The serial number on the back starts with an "H"

Pretty sharp dude! I think that may be a later model than 1988 because it has the Digital logo.
There are very knowledgeable people here that can help fill in more details about these exquisite guitars.
Welcome to the forum!

Just installed my D-sonic =) sounds great! BTW. does anyone know if the locking nut screws for a Floyd would fit in the Kahler nut? my Kahler screws were stripped and i like the thumb-screw style much better Thanks =)

I know the Khaler nut screws are standard 10-32 bolts.
Hopefully when Allparts gets some knobs in, I can help you get some original looking "F" knobs back on your beast!
Cuz I can put this:
On these: ;D

Haha sweet!
I am currently waiting on what I think are the originals...haven't seen them yet, but the person who sold the axe to me said he took them off to preserve them. I should have them in about 3 weeks. I also need a new whammy bar...preferably black. This one is rusting a bit -.-
