I'll bet that FR Pro feels pretty nice. I have a couple of guitars with the FR Pro and I like them a lot. String spacing on mine appear to be less than F-Spaced as compared to Kahlers or OFRs. Takes some getting used to. I measure 52 mm in width at the tremolo for the FR Pro and 54 mm for the Kahlers & OFRs. FRs & Steelers, IMHO, dive bomb easier/spongier than the Spyders do. Spyders appear to be more stable in the tuning arena though. Did I just rant and/or go off on a tangent? Alzheimers. No one's safe.

Hi guys, just joined the forum so thought I'd introduce myself. I don't own a HM Strat at the moment but hope to get one soon. I'm currently going through my second childhood and remember the HM's from when I first started playing back in the day(a guy I used to jam with had a shocking pink one and it always sounded awesome). My latest band is doing 80's/90's metal covers and I reckon an HM will fit in just fine! Cheers.

Welcome aboard!
You're in luck, because I think there's been more HM's on eBay in the past months than I've ever seen before. ;D
Best of luck on your hunt, and make sure to post pics when you get one!

Thanks for the welcome! I've seen a few on the bay myself in recent months but have only just plucked up the courage to tell my wife I want yet another guitar lol. Have just emailed a guy who's selling an '88 model with original hardcase for £200 (approx$300) which is a great price for the uk. Let's hope he hasn't sold it! I'll keep you posted, and thanks again.

No you're right, the ones that are on there are either really pricey or in the US (I'm in the uk) so the shipping costs are too high. I guess I'm just gonna have to be patient...

Get you one of those 3 German jobs on eBay right now. There always for sale at around $1,000.00 US. LOL Shipping would probably be less than from the US than Germany. That dude cracks me up. Does he even look at the price of what a clean HM on eBay is going for these days?

yeah, that guy always has the same guitar listed about 3 times each with different prices, and always too dear.

I agree, every guitar he sells seems about double what it's worth.

Thought all HM STRATS had 24 frets, or is Doug's Blue Marble HSH not an HM?

I have had my HM strat for 5 years now, I loved it when I first got it and still love it now. It's great when you play with some others guitars then pick up the Hm strat and go WOW everytime. The bridge pick up is awesome and gives a great fat sound. The neck is without doubt the BEST Fender ever put out. I have picked up some 'normal' Fender Strats and they feel like a baseball bat compared to the HM Strat. As a frend said who is an ibanez fanatic the neck makes you dig in more. I have charvels Jacksons bc richs peaveys and love them all . I got into playing because Of Ritchie Blackmore and always wanted a Fender i felt comfortable with and this is the baby for me. The thickness of the body gives it that nice sustain and bottom end that lighter guitars just cant duplicate.
