I am having 2 problems with the nut on my USA HM Strat. 1. Particularly on the "High" side the strings wanna catch on a little ridge and not come all the way through the pass-thru hole. 2. I would love to be using SRV guage string sets but the hole on the "Low" side is too small (or I am having the same problems as already stated). Is there a more "elegant" fix than just hogging out the holes with a tool?

The hole are formed by a sort of an integral String Tree on the back side of the not that gives it plenty of room for an SRV guage string set if you just slack off on the screws a bit! You can't see them because they are on the bottom of the nut!
