I got a couple pieces of scrap for dirt cheap.
I planned on making a "Skeleton" guitar, similar to a "Branch Guitar".
So, I'll start by creating something with these scrap pieces.
They're only 1" thick, and are shaped kind of goofy, but I can certainly fit something in there...

I'm dropping the "Mockingbird" and sticking with the Flame design.I hope to bang out a couple bodies over the long Thanksgiving weekend.

That's better. Now it doesn't look like a BROOM. ;D

Here's the final design. Just have to pocket out the back for the electronics.
I plan to program tonight and machine 2 of these tomorrow. ;D
Happy Thanksgiving to all that observe it!

Done deal. Just need to make the backplate and assemble. Turned out pretty cool.
Can't believe I did this, start to finish, in one week...

Very nice indeed! It's amazing you got it done that quickly. But you've built a few before, eh? haha.
Are you going to color it or finish it in anyway?

Thanks guys!
I originally planned on selling both of these, but I gotta keep one!
I think the one I sell, I'm just going to leave "as is". I could send it to get it anodized, but it would take a week or two to get back, and I'm not sure if I want to wait that long to sell it. Maybe I will, not sure yet.
The one I keep I will have anodized. I"m not sure on the color yet. Electroless Nickel is kind of a shiny goldish color, which would look cool. Maybe Blue, or Red...Idk
Here's a video of some of the milling process:

Superb Bo! You're living up to your 'God' status by managing all that in 1 week bud. Loved watching the mill cutting out the profile at the end of the vid. Couldn't imagine trying to do that freehand on an old Bridgeport! To quote Wayne's world- 'we're not worthy, we're not worthy!' ;D

They look like something The Terminator would play.
If deadly killing machines played guitar.
