Looks great mate! I like the used look, it's nice to see an immaculately restored guitar but if they're too nice they tend to get treated with so much care you're afraid to play them. Better to have one that plays greater than it looks imo. ;D

Oh yeah, I'd be happy for you to use that line. Haha.
I've always heard that those were just "standard Fender single-coils," but no mention of American vs. Japanese.
I could also have a lot to do with the wiring. After playing them for awhile, I'm going to change the standard wiring in two of my HM's. I'm taking the bridge straight out to the jack, and putting in a 500k volume and one 250k tone control for the single coils. I wanted to try the stock scheme, but the weak, muffled tone I'm getting confirms I'm not a fan of complicated wiring schemes.
