I'm in total shock, just found out a couple of minutes ago. I saw him live about 6 or 7 years ago, an astounding player, totally blew me away. RIP Gary Moore.

This is the song from 1982 that got me started on Gary Moore. I've always liked Jack Bruce's voice. I often wondered why Gary was never asked to be on the G3 tour with Satch & Vai. This song probably answers that question.

Just a follow-up:
According to reports made on British news and celebrity site Mirror.co.uk, legendary Thin Lizzy guitarist Gary Moore passed away due to a suspected heart attack, a postmortem revealed on Monday, February 7, 2011. Moore had passed in his sleep Sunday morning, hours after checking into the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Estepona on the Costa del Sol, Spain. He was 58 years old. A Spanish police spokesman said today;
"Mr. Moore died of natural causes and his death is not in any way suspicious. An investigating magistrate has opened a standard inquiry to determine the exact cause of death."

It was a shock when I heard, I was lucky to see him on the After The war tour at Wembley Arena, two walls of Marshall Amps, walked across them then down the stairs in front of the drummer. He is remembered for the blues but I personally prefer his "Rock" metal days, Wild Frontier album was a showcase for his guitar/songwriting ability. RIP Mr Moore. m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v=3DoknU9_XM0
