I bought another of the Xaviere Les Pauls - this one was on clearance because of a fret or two that needed leveling - for $130.
Plays great, sounds great, is a lot lighter than the other Xaviere I have. It does have the 3/4" maple cap though, so I can only guess they must have cut down a lighter mahogany tree for this one. haha.

Thanks, I like the flame on this one a lot, too.
Nick - I think it's just a thick gloss coat. Plus, I photographed it with the sun reflecting off it, so that helps.Here's a little clip of that guitar. I put an ECC83 tube in my preamp recently so it's VERY crunchy right now. soundclick.com/share.cfm?id=10513417

Thanks, Stratz! It's an "dual vaccuum-tube" Damage Control Demonizer
preamp with speaker sim buit in. One EHX 12ax7 and one JJ's ECC83.

You'll have to check eBay or Craigslist, Stratz. They made these for a few years then merged with another company and discontinued their whole line of preamps.
You might check out one of these - a tube preamp/direct recording combo like my Demonizer, but it runs about $400.www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxU7L_UMSxQ
