I am restoring an HM Ultra with Steeler trem. I think it is supposed to have the same locking nut as the Spyder. What is the width of the kahler lock nut? Wammi world shows two widths: 1-11/16" 1-5/8" (although the 1-11/16" are all gone/out of stock)
So, there is only 1/16 of an inch difference between the two sizes. I can see where it could be either one. In fact, I have two different HRR (hot rod reissue) Stratocasters which are the vintage style cousins to the HM (same width and radius neck). One has a Steeler with the 1-11/16 nut and the other came with an original Floyd. Both are factory and the Floyd nut is the 1/5-8 size. Same neck, but only one has the slightly smaller nut size.
Can somebody measure theirs and tell me how wide it is?

Just measured them and both the HMs & HM Ultras have the same nut width, 1 11/16".

Just measured them and both the HMs & HM Ultras have the same nut width, 1 11/16". Thanks. Wammi World is out of that size so I ordered the other size and will probably swap it with the correct sized one I have one one of my HRR Strats.
