I'm looking to get a new acoustic guitar and it would be great to get you're opinions. ;D I'm wanting a smaller bodied type such as a folk (000 or OM) or even a parlor style(00) and it's primarily for fingerstyle playing. I've been looking at the Ozark deluxe range which are all solid woods, built in piezo and hard case for £300-£400 which seems excellent value. Other brands are Vintage, Luna and Freshman which all seem to offer good quality guitars under £500 which is my limit. Has anyone ever played any of these and are they any good? Any suggestions for alternatives will be gratefully received. I know the best way is to try one out for myself but just thought I'd get a few trusted opinions first!

Some folks laugh when I say this, but Yamaha acoustics are hugely underrated. The newer FG and FGX series guitars are stellar examples of quality for the price. I had my eyes on an FGX 730 SC for a year until my parents surprised my brother and me with a Gibson Hummingbird! The Yamahas are very good sounding, warm acoustics.

+1 on the Yamaha acoustics. I've heard some that were astounding at their price points.
Just like with all guitars though, you should pick one out in person as two acoustics made on the same assembly line, by the same person on the same day can turn out quite different!
