Nice tele! If i'm not mistaken, you can swap that trem out for a gotoh floyd. I got a westone that has a gotoh and I used to have a spare bridge like yours and the studs lined up. Just an idea if you ever wanted to replace it.

Well for one thing the tremolo isn't a locking bridge. I have a Contemporary Strat from 1986 with the same System 1 Fender/Schaller tremolo system and it would not stay in tune as good as my Floyds do because the tremolo has no locking mechanism. Great sounding guitar though and attractive. Nice find.
The Japanese made Contemporary Strats & Teles are going to be collectible someday if they aren't already. They were well made with quality woods and superior craftsmanship.
I was just playing my HMT today. What an underrated guitar as well.
