Hey everybody! I bought my first HM Strat this week. I'm a big Greg Howe fan so I'm pretty excited about it. I picked it up for $350 on CL. Bought it from the original owner who played it a few times and then cased it. This thing is pristine (with the exception of the neck plate)!!! It looks brand spankin' new. In the case I found a bunch of allen keys, the key to lock the case, 2 inspection tags (don't know why 2), cable that came with it, the 1988 manual, and the Spyder manual still sealed in plastic (I couldn't bring myself to open it so I downloaded it online). The thing was still in tune even after who knows how long in it's case. 15 or 20 years maybe? It's got all the USA stamps on it, though I hold the opinion that all of the parts are Japanese assembled in America. I had a brain fart and accidentally put 10s on it. I'll do 9's next time, but I need you're help with the Kahler. A few of the lock screws look partially stripped. Is there anywhere besides WammiWorld to buy replacements. I might never need them, but would like to know I can find some. Another question I have is, what is the correct wrench for the same screws. Manual reads 3/32 according to my understanding. Is that right? It's beyond me why this trem requires so many different size wrenches and have such seemly shallow wrench holes. Has anyone else had problems with these screws stripping. I appreciate your help, and as a token of my appreciation, here's some nice big bigs for y'all ;D

Screamin' deal - congrats!
I found the "mushroom cap" string clamp screws for the locking nut at Ace Hardware. I think they were less than a buck apiece and must be standard screws. Take your guitar to the hardware store nearest to you with the best selection of screws and you can match them up.
If you're talking about parts for the bridge, your only real option is WhammyWorld or find someone parting a Spyder out on eBay. I did find a set of new stainless steel string bridge locking screws on eBay once, so you may get lucky there.

Nice find.
Many people have had issue because of overtightening the screws. KahlerUSA.com might or might not have them.
