Here's the DiMarzio color codes. The HM Strat came with a DiMarzio Super 3 in the bridge position.

I'm a goon when it comes to tech diagrams, but aside from doc's mod, what else is modified on the 2nd diagram?

The mod has one regular tone pot instead of (2) TBX's.

I didn't even realize that you had deleted the other TBX control?

I guess I'll have to use your mod as a reference for Doc's mod, but the OEM one for the dual TBX rig.

I'm rewiring an HM strat for a friend. He swears that the coil-tap switch was a kill switch. I think he wants me to make it a kill switch. Unfortunately he wants dual pots, too else I'd use the simpler heem6 wiring mod.

I've had about a Hundred of these guitars, the original diagrams above are correct the only thing they are lacking is the COLOR of the wires which would make it simple, if anyone is in need of this to make your Strat work the way it originally was intended let me know. What I find bizarre is practically everything that people are adding to this thread is WRONG, I realize there isn't a lot of information about these guitars but if you are not sure you shouldn't post it....

Just did Doc's mod to the HM and dig it. I had one issue with using a 1/4w 220k resistor. It was muddy up until the detent, then from there it was clear, with no middle ground. I tried a 1/2w 220k and that did the trick.
