Im glad someone has taken the time to build a forum about these guitars. I have two and if I was still touring I would buy a couple more. These are the most underrated guitars I know of. They have their quirks ( thin sounding) and have to be worked with, but every one I have ever picked up has felt the same to me. The necks are always dead on and the guitar is balanced as well as any on the market. Ive always been amazed that Fender has never gone back to this design which is the only truly different strat design out there. with 65 or more various releases of strats and teles you would think they would at least do a small reissue. I have talked to a builder about making a solid maple body or maybe a mahogany to get a deeper tone but havnt gotten around to having it built yet. Has anyone here ever had a new body built for theirs?

Hi and Welcome to the Forum!
If you can post pictures of your 2 HM's everyone would like that.
I'm just getting ready to send my rebuilt HM neck to KNE guitars where they are going to build a Northern Hard Ash body for it. Body shape is based on the Jackson Soloist. I have a Mighty Mite Body Strat which sounds fantastic, and I hope to get in the same tone ballpark with this one.
