Just a quick couple of questions. I had always understood that the HM Strats had 17" radius. But a couple of places I've read recently stated that MIJ had 12" radius and only the MIA had the 17" radius. Could someone clear that up for me?
The very informative page on this forum indicates that if you come across an HH configuration HM Strat, it's almost certain to be MIA. I noticed one of the forum members just scored an HH model - but the oriiginal ad indicated it was MIJ. Is this just misinformation on the part of the seller? (which is easy to understand!)

Check thread titled "My HM Story and a couple of Q's" on page 3. There are 2 other pics of 2 HB. They both have E serial numbers but they dont mention radius. When mine arives Im not sure how to measure radius but I can try

Are you saying you had a MIJ and it was 17"? I'm curious because I have an MIJ and was trying to determine this very question.
Thanks!

Yes, all my HM's are MIJ.
Probably no one knows for sure (there might have been some one-offs), but I've never heard of any 12" HM necks and would doubt any were made. If anyone else has different info please chime in, though!

All American made & Japanese made HM fretboards are 17 inch radius. All documentation from Fender on them states the same.
