I'm guessing most of you guys on here are based in the States, but.. just in case anyones UK based I thought I'd bung this on here first before slinging it at the wolves on ebay... It's my 1986 HM Strat, Black, single original Dimarzio humbucker, serial no. E841174 Pretty sure this its the first incarnation before the HSS version came out, so Japanese made despite the Fender USA neck plate (cos I think there was some wrangle over American factory production at that point?) I bought it new... my first proper guitar and I'll be sad to see it go, but I just never play it... more into my tele and LP junior these days... And I really want a Jaguar or a Mustang... my tastes have changed (never was much of a shredder!) It's in pretty good nick... couple of small dings on the edges of the headstock, bit of buckle scratching on the back, but nothing thats gone through the finish... Crack in the finish by the upper neck joint corner (tried to photograph it, but it just wasn't coming out). Down the years I've lost the original trem bar, and one of the 'f' topped knobs (i still have one, but I've replaced them both with similar rubber gripped knobs, just without the 'f') and the coil switch snapped off, so thats been replaced by an aftermarket switch... Other than that its just been played... PICS here: s1258.photobucket.com/user/tuc2012/library/Fender%20HM%20stratI'm after about £400, based near Peterborough in the UK post a reply if your interested?

do you still have this? I know the post is quite old... I don't know what the answer to that question was but if you are interested still I have a 1988 model black that is practically in mint condition. Mail me on phil@cym.ro if interested. I have more photos if need be. 24 fret / 25" scale with Humbucker / single/ single pickup configuration. Tiny faint bit of buckle rash on back - hardly see it. Attachments:
