Hi guys. I've owned a razzberry pink HM Strat since I bought her new in 1989.

Hi guys
Sorry if this has been discussed previously, but can the string height adjustment be lowered simply by turning the two outer bridge mounting bolts anti-clockwise? I have a PDF of this term system which seems to imply using a 0.50 Allen key behind the saddle but I can't for the life of me work out where this fits. Thanks in advance.

It looks like there was a revision to the Spider. I believe this is what one looks like with the height adjustment saddles; The older Spyders will need saddle shims to raise them.

Thanks for the feedback and the pic. Mine doesn't have the Allen key hole for individual saddle adjustments so I turned the bridge bolts clockwise (not anti-clockwise as the manual said) to lower the bridge. Pretty obvious really, doh! Anyway, the strings are now closer to the neck and "Mary" plays like a dream again. Think I'll treat her to new term springs and she'll be as good as new again. Had this guitar since new (bought it late '89/early '90 for £379. Wouldn't dream of parting with it.

Sweet deal! The one on my HM doesn't have those too, but a spare Spider I have has them only on the high and low E saddles.
