I always liked the orange colored V-Types. They have nice necks on them. Not like the original Vandy's though.

Ooooooooo. That's nice, Jim. Very nice colour. How different are the necks? I know you like sanding them down...would it be possible to get close tot he original spec by sanding? PS: I found this guy playing one, and he's one of the best guitar players I ever heard, and I have heard quite a few as I am sure you guys have. www.youtube.com/watch?v=TrtBhHuSwjc

He's awesome! Did you catch about 5:15 into the solo he throws in one of the passages from the Ralph Macchio - Steve Vai duel in "Crossroads?"
When I saw the name, I checked my computer and I have a copy of the original album version of this. If anybody wants a copy, email me and I'll shoot you the MP3.
P.S. Nick, I wish I could tell you more. I've played both of them, but it ws years ago and only for a few minutes in a music store with each. I have heard the Vandy's are SUPER thin. I measured my Reverse Headstock Striker yesterday and I have it shaved down to 18.5mm thick at the 3rd fret, compared to about 21mm new. For comparison, the Original Wizard necks are = 17mm at 1st fret, 19mm at 12th fret.
