Concert was good last night - Jizzy Pearl was singing with Tracii in LA Guns. Both of them sounded great.
Michael Schenker was on fire. Seriously never heard him play like that before. Very impressed. Glen Barden is so over. No voice left. Shouldn't even have been out singing.
Dokken was great. Don't voice wasn't great, but also not horrible. He was in a great mood, joking with the audience all night and telling stories about just getting back from the island of Crete, where they partied with the Scorpions at midnight on the beach. He said the venues would provide drums for Mick and they often had these goofy drums from Disney acts with mouse ears on the bass drum. Don said MIck hits so hard that cowbells and cymbals and stuff would come flying by him while he was singing. He really worked the crowd and played up the fact that he was proud to be an 80's band and to have played with VH, Priest, QR, etc. (Lot nicer than George Lynch trashing the 80's in every interview.) At the very end, He made the crowd sing the chorus acapella to In My Dreams and then said, "It's all true. It's really true. Keep it in your hearts and God Bless you." He really didn't want to leave, you could tell. Very, very nice behavior especially when he could have been irritable because they were all jet-lagged and had played a stadium a night or two before in Europe and this was only a small crowd. Mick played like a Mofo, and Don did say Mick lives here in Phoenix.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing the review --
Schenker is probably my favorite rock guitarist... man, it's good to hear that he was on for that show. Part of the fun about going to see a MS performance is the unpredictability that he brings. When he's off, it can be a complete disaster... but when he's on fire, watch out! I don't think anyone else can bring it quite like he does.

They played 5 songs off the "dentist chair" album, 2 off the second album, one of the McCauley Schenker album and finished with "Doctor, Doctor." His solos were MOST impressive. I'm a fan, and I didn't ever realize he could play this well!
