Yesterday. A "Fender Contemporary" series from 1985. Single humbucker in Sparkle green. Think a basic completely normal Fender guitar in terms of feel, but with only 1 humbucker. ROCK AND ROLL all the way. Just picture this, but green. I had tried a bunch of guitars that day, brand new RG550 reissue, lesser Ibanez models and even a Vai 555 model, but that strat felt the best. It's still hanging there in the shop though. The guy I was with said it sounded really good, and it did. Had a Duncan in the bridge with a push pull pot. It was £350 which to me is a bit too much by maybe £100.

Made in Japan, baby! It looks like it's Made of Awesome! Did you try to talk them down?
The repair guy here at Sam Ash has one of those and it's his favorite guitar.

That's cool Jim. I can see why. Very nice neck, (the one I tried was maple which made it even more fun) has a Fender name, Fender headstock, nice body, trem was ok, and it sounded great! I coudl talk the guy down, but not by much, even with cash. It is on a commission sale, and they will only take cash anyway for it I think.
Still, it was lovely to play. Might have to go back soon and try some more.
