Very nice! Looks like the same knob, spot on, minus the "F" cap.
Nice replacement for worn HM knobs, if the cap were interchangeable.

The problem would be getting it "drawn" into the software.
The fonts are lacking big time in Pro/E. I'd have to freehand it.

The knobs are very nice, and if either of my HM's were missing knobs, I would not hesitate to replace them with the ones you found.
They're almost spot on, and sooo much better than stock Strat knobs.

Here'ssome incentive, Bo. I've seen three of those "F" knobs go for OVER $100 on eBay. So it seems there is a market for them.
However, I'd hope you would offer a forum discount. ;D

$100! Wow.
I'd sell my 2 extra's for $50 each. ;D
But seriously, I'm not sure I could match the font...

erm.. New here (and from the uk) Joined cos I'm looking for a replacement knob for my '88 HM strat... (Single humbucker, 24 fret, rosewood fingerboard, black with Kahler trem)... Bought it new back in 88... still playing it now these allpart ones look good (better than the cheap horrible ones I've found on ebay) but I'd love the 'F' insert... could you not use the 'F' from the eps logo found here: www.brandsoftheworld.com/logo/fenderShould be able to break the F off in Illustrator and resave...?

Welcome Tucs!
That would be a pretty good template to work with.
I would still have to freehand around the letter in Pro/E but that logo would be much better to use than a hand taken picture like I had in mind.
I'll give it a shot.
Please post pics of your HM if you can!

Technically, wouldn't it be illegal for me to reproduce this "F" logo onto a part?

Jim, I think I still have a few of those F knobs somewhere. But I can't find them for shit. If I come across them I will send them to ya. I was digging through my junk bin the other day and found some brand new OFR lock blocks and 4 saddles! Didn't know I had them.

So, any insight regarding the legality of adding a trademark logo to an aftermarket part without permission?

Apart from don't tell Fender... I guess you could make a slight modification to the "F", other than that, I don't have a clue... I ain't no Lawyer!
