Finally got one!!!

Well guys, at long last I've got meself an HM!
Won it on ebay last night, I was gonna wait till I got it before posting but couldn't resist. Got it for a good price too. Just hope it gets here ok....

It's a single bucker model- I would have preferred an HSS- but these things are so scarce over here I just couldn't pass it up.
Includes a case albeit a non-Fender one, Teal blue, rosewood board. Apparantly the only issue is that one of the string clamp bolts is missing and has been replaced with a normal bolt, still works but just looks a bit odd.
I now feel like a proper member of the forum, not just a pretender! ;D

I bought one off e-bay 2 years ago. It was a teal HSS, and is a fantastic guitar!

But it took me 6 months to find one on e-bay, and I haven't seen one since!

It's one of my fave colours too, I only came across it with 2 days to run. You're right though, they're pretty rare in the uk and the odd ones I've seen have been pulling much higher prices in recent months, not this one though!

Cheers Tommy, yeah I'm really chuffed to have got one at last. I think I dropped real lucky on this, I thought with 10 bidders it was gonna go up loads in the last few moments but it just didn't. Maybe noone wants the single pup ones lol!

Thanks Crumbs, I've now received it and it's in pretty good nick, a handful of small dings on the body but nothing too bad but more importantly after a quick setup it plays brilliantly, has virtually no fret wear (I suspect it's had a levelling job done not too long ago?) and I've just ordered a new string clamp bolt from Wammi world to replace the odd one, it was niggling me! I stated I'd heard of them from this forum on the checkout. ;D
I would say it's a guitar that's been played a fair bit over the years but has been well cared for, and I'm lovin it!
Got a gig tomorrow too..... can't wait!

It's a great axe thanks Nick, played a gig with it on Saturday and it sounds awesome! I think it has a Super 3 (12 hex pole pieces)?
My only slight regret is it's not an HSS 'cos I love the neck single coil tone, it's just a bit limiting only having a bridge hum to play with.
The neck is great though, I can see why people rave about it so much, a shredders dream (not that I'm a particularly good shredder lol!). Yeah so, I'm really made up that I got one at last! ;D

You're right Fist, it has!
It must have broke or got lost at some point, if you look close you can see a normal pozi-drive screw fitted in it's place. It does appear to be causing tuning instability as if you use the trem that string(G) seems to go out of tune slightly, and sometimes I get some resonance which I am 99% certain is down to this screw.
I've just ordered an original replacement from Wammi world so it should be as Kahler intended in the not too distant future!
