Welcome to the forum!
Post some pics of your HM if you can, we'd all love to see some.
Loosening these will unlock the strings from the trem.

Hi Nicole - I would say it was Made in Japan in 1988. You'll probably get different opinions from different people. You can check the main website on the Background page for more info. Welcome to the forum and please post pictures!
Note to other posters - my desktop computer unfortunately got a virus and that's where all my database files are. I'll get it up and running soon, and will update the serial number database when I do. Thanks for your patience.

s/n: E915805 Colour: Black (no scratch guard) Fretboard: Rosewood Fret count: 24 Pick-ups config: H/S/S Tremolo: Kahler "Spyder" (stamped "made in USA") Controls: 1 volume, 2 tone, 5 way selector, and a two-way toggle Headstock decal: Original larger version (non-digitized)
Not sure of the year, my memory says it's a '90 but I could be wrong. Neck plate is stamped "Fender USA" but from what I've read that could be misleading.

I had two HM Strats for stage use and still have one of them. I kept the one with the best neck and the Seymour Duncam Full Shred pickup which I fitted. I straight swapped a Desert Yellow Ibanez RG something back in around 1991/2 for this guitar at Machinehead Music inthe UK. The original pink finish had to go so I blew all the paint off of the guitar using a heat gun so it now has a scorched/natural finish. Still plays like a dream so I've never sold her. I sold the white one on Ebay a while ago but it just didn't play as well and was gathering dust.

Hi people, Thanks for all the info. My desktop (which has the hard drive that contains the database) fried it's computer chip the other night. I'll be rebuilding within a couple of weeks and will try to get your info uploaded then. Thanks for your patience and sorry for the delay.
New visitors - feel free to post your info and I will also log it when I'm back up and running with the database.
P.S. This is probably a good reminder to me to also house the database (excel file) online somewhere as a backup!

Thanks, Mike. Please see the above message for an FYI.
For all you new guys, please post any clips you have of you playing your HM (or another guitar), or of your band. I'm pretty much the only one posting my stuff right now, but I think everyone here would love to hear more people's music. Don't be shy!
After all - we play HM Strats! What's not to brag about?!! ;D

Yeah, I like the neck/fretboard. Poor guitar has been beat up pretty good, does not stay in tune all up and down the neck, I have tried all the different sizes of allen wrenches... none fit, or maybe the nut for the truss rob is damaged? I will take it in anyway, my woman says I have to pay off my Martin acoustic before I can spend 1+K for a nice Stratocaster (what I most definitely NEED! ha) More pix of my STRAT #E808767 Well... guess I can only copy & paste one pic at a time?
